Supplement to the Horologion
The Supplement to the Horologion is a liturgical collection that complements the basic contents of the Horologion with texts required for the various days of the weekly and annual cycles of divine services. The book contains the Sunday and weekday troparia and kontakia, festal hymns arranged by month, texts from the Lenten Triodion and the Pentecostarion, common hymns, and katavasiai. Special sections are devoted to the theotokia, triadika, photagogika, and exapostilaria, as well as to the canticles of Holy Scripture used at the celebration of Matins and the chanting of the canon. The collection serves as a practical companion to the Horologion, bringing together a significant portion of the variable liturgical texts needed throughout the church year.
